1.  Can you leave the rocker or lounger outside?

Yes, the oak has been hand finished with a cedar-toned exterior penetrating stain.  To maintain the finish we recommend that you hand-rub orange oil or some other type of furniture polish or sealer minimally once a year.  The chair cloth sling and lounger cushions are constructed of outdoor awning fabric.  Awning fabric is extremely strong, scotch-guard treated, and is made of outdoor use and will last for years.  If the fabric becomes soiled, simply use warm water and mild dishwashing soap to clean.

2.  Do we sell replacement rocker cloth slings and/or lounger cushions?

Yes, the rocker cloth sling and pillow replacement costs $50.00 and a replacement cushion for the lounger is $75.00

3.  Is the oak treated?

Yes, the oak is hand finished with a cedar-toned exterior penetrating stain.

4.  Where can I hang the Cloud 9 oak lounger?

Most folks hand the oak lounger on the front porch, back porch, under their favorite tree, or an old swing set, and some folks do hang them indoors!  A lag screw is provided with the lounger and should be installed into a 2x6 or larger size beam/rafter (#1 grade wolmanized/treated 2x6 is recommended or #1 grade pine 2x6). Werland Rockers Inc. recommends that you use epoxy to securely install lag screw into the 2X6 beam. DO NOT INSTALL ON SO CALLED WHITE WOOD or CEDAR, because it is too soft. We recommended and best method of hanging the lounger is using an 8 inch eye bolt which extends completely through the six inch dimension of the 2x6 and is secured by a washer and lock nut.

5.  How can I hang the Cloud 9 oak lounger in a tree?

We have available a tree kit which consists of 32 feet of 1/2 inch polypropylene rope with a zinc ring and a S-hook.  (See product catalogue.)  The Cloud 9 oak lounger is constructed to hang in ceilings 8 1/2 feet to approximately 71/2 feet in height thereby allowing one to hang the lounger from a limb 36-40 feet in height.  We do recommend that you wrap the rope around the tree limb and the zinc ring several times to ensure secure anchorage.

6.  How long have you been in business?

Werland Rockers, Inc.  is a small family business that first started in 1980.  Our business started with one basic style of rocking chair and has grown over the years with suggestions from our customers, friends, and personal research. The business incorporated in April 2002.

7.  Do you make these yourself?

Yes, each oak rocker and oak lounger is individually handcrafted with over 56 feet of hand routing on each oak rocker, and each hand finished with an exterior stain to ensure long life.  due to the nature of the craftsmanship, Ed and Cindy the owners handcraft each rocker and lounger personally.

8.  How much does it cost to ship the rockers and loungers?

We ship by UPS from our door to your door, ort o whomever you choose.

We charge the actual coast of the shipping, insurance and shipping box.  The average shipping cost in Texas is approximately $20.00 for one rocker/lounger and $26.00 for two rockers/loungers.  The cost for shipping outside the State of Texas is slightly more.

We will email you with the actual shipping charges, for your approval, before processing your order.

9.  How long will it take to receive my order?

Our standard turn-around time for orders is 14-21 business days plus shipping time.  However, since all rockers and loungers are handcrafted one at a a time , order processing times may vary.  We recommend placing gift orders several weeks/months in advance if possible.   However, if you have a special situation, please give us an opportunity to accommodate your needs.  Call 1-800-768-3088 after 6pm and thanks!

We provide an e-mail confirmation on all orders.

10.  What is your return/exchange and warranty policy?

Your complete satisfaction is extremely important to us.  Purchases may be returned or exchanged up to 30 days from date of purchase with original sales receipt.  Shipping on returns and exchanges must be prepaid and shipped to Werland Rockers, Inc.  at 2649 Barton Hills Drive, Austin, Texas 78704.  Freight and shipping charges are non-refundable.

11.  Do you give volume discounts?

The unique nature of the handcrafting of each piece of furniture does not provide for volume pricing discounts.  We have priced the oak rockers and oak loungers to assure a modes profit and yet at the same time achieve a significant savings for our customers because they are purchasing directly from the craftsman and not a re-seller.

12.  Do you make different size rockers?

Yes we do.  We have discovered that customers six feet in height and taller prefer our Tall rocker because it provides an additional two inches of length in the legs and cloth sling thereby affording four additional inches of room.  Folks under six feet of height find our regular size rocker very comfortable.

13.  Can I customize the rocker or lounger?

Yes.  We can personalize in several different ways.  We can embroidery a name on the rocker pillow ($1.50 per letter), custom imprint the rocker cloth sling, or attach a drinkholder to the rocker or lounger (drinkholders are $12.50).  The custom imprints are available in a variety of subjects:  golfers, baseball, football, bowling, fishing-freshwater, hunting-deer, ducks, bears, wolves, etc., dogs, cats, country images, rodeo and cowboys, and southwest images.  Custom imprints are $12.00 each.  See product catalogue for Bass imprint.
